Laundry Rooms

9. Mud-laundry rooms. If you’ve paid attention to Houzz’s look at home design trends expected to dominate in 2024, you already know that combining a laundry room with a mudroom is a great idea for homes that see a lot of mess at the entry. This setup lets homeowners place grimy sports uniforms, sandy beach towels or muddy winter coats directly into the wash before dirt is tracked farther into the home. The space earned the interior design firm a Best of Houzz Design award.

Homes by C.M. Watson

Homes by C.M. Watson took the concept to the max with this mud-laundry room in Carmel, Indiana, that earned the design-build firm a Best of Houzz Design award.
