The car is in excellent condition with original paint, British Racing Green with a white top. The paint shows a few small stone chips but no rust or crash damage. Correct Mini Cooper half leather interior, black with red piping & carpets. The rear seat has several small repaired areas as shown in the photos.

It has a 1300cc engine, 4 speed gearbox and factory air conditioning! Virtually all the mechanical items have been redone including a completely rebuilt engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Originally a fuel injected (SPI) 1300 with an automatic trans, it was correctly converted to a 4 speed with a reliable SU carburetor using only top quality components and many upgraded parts. Everything works exactly as it should. This Mini needs nothing and drives lovely.

Body colored flares were installed in Japan as was a dummy right hand filler cap.
Aston quick release gas caps with the standard locking gas cap inside
Headlights were replaced with correctly dipping (for USA) Hella quartz halogen headlights.
Classic center speedometer with water temperature and oil pressure gauges were added in Japan.
The windows were professionally tinted with Llumar lifetime heat reducing ceramic tint.
The original 12” wheels were replaced with genuine ATS 5 spoke 5”X10” alloy wheels, powder coated silver with new center caps and 165/70 10 Falken tires, including the spare.

The original engine, auto trans and front subframe were removed and replaced with a powder coated 4 speed front subframe with solid subframe mounts throughout. The suspension was rebuilt with new Mini Spares evo rubber springs, Mini Sport Adjusta-Ride trumpets, Mini Sport heavy duty adjustable camber lower control arms, Mini Spares uprated tie bars, KYB Gas-A-Just shocks, new ball joints, bump stops, knuckle joints & cups, suspension bushings and tie rod ends. The suspension is set up with negative camber all around and correct caster & toe.

The engine was rebuilt using a 1300 A plus 4 speed block, cleaned and painted with KBS Motor Coater paint, bored +.040 with new hypereutectic high compression pistons, Hastings rings, new main, rod and cam bearings, reground A+ crankshaft, ARP main cap hardened washers and ARP center main bolts, A plus connecting rods with new bolts, rebuilt cylinder head with hardened valve seats, Cometic Multi Layer Steel head gasket, lightened duplex steel timing gears with Iwis timing chain, Cooper SPI camshaft with new cam followers, new oil pump, new head studs, new rocker shaft, new front pulley, new electronic distributor, cap & wires, new Viper dry coil, new MED Engineering lightened and balanced Verto clutch, flywheel & disc, new primary gear, new Mini Spares evo water pump, new radiator hoses, new Mini Spares super two core radiator, Mini Spares alloy inlet manifold, rebuilt SU carburetor, K&N air filter in standard air cleaner housing with 3D printed intake horn, new Hardi electric fuel pump, powder coated Minifin alloy valve cover, new SPI exhaust downpipe and complete Maniflow twin box exhaust system with chrome tip.

Completely rebuilt A plus gearbox, all new bearings, layshaft & baulk rings (syncros). A new center oil pickup was added for sprited driving and a new Mini Spares molybdenum cross pin differential for reliability. The CV joints were cleaned, greased and new boots installed. A 3.10 final drive was fitted, which is ideal for 10” wheels. New idler gear bearings & races, new clutch master & slave cylinders with a steel braided hose. The rod change shifter was rebuilt and a new shift boot installed.

The front brakes were changed to genuine Cooper S calipers, powder coated and rebuilt with new stainless steel caliper pistons, EBC brake pads, 7.5” brake rotors, disc shields, steel braided brake hoses and steel braided master cylinder to servo hoses.

Rear suspension, new Mini Spares EVO rubber springs, new knuckle joints & cups, KYB Gas-A-Just shock absorbers, Mini Sport Adjusta-Ride height adjustable trumpets, Mini Spares adjustable camber & track subframe brackets.

The air conditioning was converted from R12 to R134a refrigerant. The compressor was replaced with a new (OEM) Unicla R134a compressor, all lines, hoses and components were flushed. The original Japanese drier is expensive and hard to find in the USA, a new drier was installed. The lines and hoses were modified for a common universal drier for easy replacement should it be required. The air conditioning cools very well, even in extreme Florida summer heat.

All fuel injection components were removed, including the redundant wires and the unreliable relay box. The in tank injection fuel pump was disabled and a quality German made low pressure electric fuel pump installed. The original injection octopus radiator hose and leak prone inline heater valve were removed and replaced with the standard Mini hose & heater valve.
